Well I appologize for not keeping up to date. I forgot my password and havent been able to get in. Theres some stuff that needs to be discussed though.

Last night the republicans stabbed us in the back. With the help of Mary Lauendriu, and two senators from hawaii, A bill that was attached to the budget passed by a narrow margin. this bill would open The National Artic Refuge to exploitation of oil barons. I am sad today for this is just the begining. this was a message to the democratic leadership that the Pubs will force their fucking agenda down our throats.

It is called the last of the great reserves. A place of desolate beauty and wildflowers. A place where no man could touch untill now. I am reminded of the old midnite oil song which states " Theres gota be once place left in the world where the water is clean. Well theres gotta be once place left in the US where no man can exploit. There needs to be places that are set aside for future generations to marvel at. I weep today for the land that is about to be defiled.

It looks like a boycott is going to be starting. I hope this hurts them like a knife in the belly. Down with Exxon and Cheveron. I will no longer be using these bastards. I hope this becomes the next sinclair. God I am pissed. However Bp and Conoco have stated they will not drill there so we can by our gas from them.

Going to battle

Yesterday I was given quite the shocking news. Reverend Phelps one of the most hateful people Is going to be picketing my school today. A small group of U of M students will be there to meet this enemies advance. In approximately one hour we shall be upon the field of glory facing one of the greatest horrors in life, Reverend Phelps. Wish us luck and pray we all come home safely.

Ok I know I sound dramatic but I am pissed that this filth is going to try to defile my school. For those of you dont know Rev Phelps is the leader of a cult that has a website called GOD HATES FAGS. You have probaly read about the whackjobs somewhere. They were given quite a bit of notoriety when they wanted to put a statue in wyomingt that said. Matthew shephard went to hell today. So I guess you can see why I am pissed.

Anyhow I was told by a classmate that there is going to be a counter protest today at 3:00pm. And I have decided to go and help fight the good fight. Because Its the right thing to do and the decency of humanity must prevail this day.

Addendum: We have met the enemy and they were vanquished. They stayed for about 30 minutes untill we rushed their side of the street. they then made a hasty retreat. We seriously outnumbered the bigots by aqbout 5-1. there were probaly about a hundred people there maybe more. My fellow protestors were of all ages from children to senior citizens. We showed that the people of Missoula will not stand for that kind of bigotry. I am very proud of this city and university this day.

I think that Fred Phelps followers are some of the saddest people I have ever seen. People so consumed by hate that it distorted their physical features. I ask what do they get out of this madness? Are they so afraid that they most find a scapegoat? I was very sad for them especially the young girls who have their whole life in front of them. I cannot hate these people becuase they are so pathetic. I pity them greatly.

All in all the protest went great. There is this street peroformer named Victor who reminds me of Steve Martin who put on a show. He used plastic action figures to show the meaning of diversity. Everone was laughing except for Phelps minions. There was so much good feeling there that it completely dispelled the hate. The moral of this story

Dean for america

Well it looks like Howard Dean is going to be DNC chair. And I have to say I am ecstatic. I have always liked Doctor Dean and he was my first choice to run for president. Though I believe he probaly couldnt have won and I think now that Dean is where he needs to be. Dean is a fighter who wont surrender one inch to the republicans. I also dont think he will be pushed around by members of his own party either. Ladies and gentleman this is just what we need. Someone who tells the republicans you cant go any further and I will resist you at every turn. Dean began the backlash against bush as a grassroots movement. If it wasnt for Dean I dont think we would have the amount of people who voted for Kerry. I once heard someone liken Dean to John the baptist paving the way for the messiah. Dean is now in a position to pave the way to 2008.

First week of school

Well thus ends the first week. I have to say that I am so ready for the weekend. It really funny because I have scheduled my life so completly this week. I feel like I am running on top of a clock. Though it feels great to be doing something and being busy. I have to admit its a little lonely but I guess most fresh man feel that way in the begining.

Its been a interesting week hasnt it?? The republican news scandal is picking up steam. I got a letter from media matters detailing the third stooge to take payola from chimpy. His name according to the article is Michael Mcamanus. It looks like he was hired by The department of health and human services to foster Bush's bigotted Marriage amendment. This is starting to look like a rather disturbing pattern. It also a symptom of what is wrong with this country. In America anything can be bought and sold even integrity. Money rules everything and screw anybody who gets into its way. This is wrong on so many levels and it makes me wonder if our side is doing the same thing.

How did we get to the point where little piece's of green paper are more important then a human life? I mean damn it its just paper with bad artwork. Or worse its just numbers on your computer screen. We kill for it, start wars for it, sell out journalistic ethic's for it. Little fucking piece's of paper.

We watch on reality TV where people will sell out there own mothers for paper, they will marry somebody they dont even know for paper. Lives are destroyed for green paper. Its sad really what we as a species have become. We could do wonderous things yet we sacrafice everything for little green piece's of paper. I have spent my first week in Missoula and I have to say so far I really like it. The U of M campus is just stunning and it seems to have a whole different vibe then MSU. It seems much more peaceful and not as rigid. I am really looking to starting classes on tuesday.

So what did I take you might ask. Well heres the list

On Mondays its Dramarama day. I have Acting 1 at 1:00pm and Theatre appreciation from 7:00pm till 10:00pm.

On tuesdays I have English 100 ( yes thats remedial english, seems like someone doesnt think I can write) at the early hour of 9:00am. I then have a study skills class at 1:00pm

On Wedsday its back to acting1

on thursday its back to english and study skills

on friday its acting 1

So there my friends is my schedule. I have been ultra busy because of orientation so I havent had my finger on the politcal pulse of the nation this week. However I heard that bush wants to expand freedom. Well I guess thats Bushspeak for forcing markets where they dont belong. I have a feeling that today was the day that America died. I didnt see the Coronation( I was to busy playing StarOcean.) But I have been hearing things I will probaly read it. I do like horror storys after all and a Bush speech is the most horrible I can imagine. So thats all I have to say about that.

This is a little late in reporting, but you know me I am always late. But it has come to my attention
That Mr delay during a prayer ceremony at the white house read a passage from the bible that he meant to say god smote the heathen tsunami victims. Ok I hate this guy if you cant tell. But I read the passage that he spoke and I think this is delicious irony.

Now of all the passages of the bible how could he read the one passage that says it all for the fundies. It says and I quote from JC himself though a little paraphrased

Its really funny the verse that is before this. It talks how a bad tree cannot carry good fruit. Hmmm I think mr Delay and his cronies in " The once white house" are the epitome of this. Colonial vipers, Boxey, and childhood memories.

When I was about 5 years old one of my greatest memories is watching a science fiction show on ABC. The Show was Battlestar Galactica and I watched it with my mother and father.And from that show I think I was given the love for Science fiction.

Last night I had the priveliege of reliving that childhood memory. On NBC they showed a 3 hour version of the new Battlestar Galactica. I had been extremely reluctant to view this thinking it a monstrosity. I was so very wrong and found that I absolutely loved it. The other cool thing was that my Mom also loved it. It was funny because I was transported back to California to the late 70's with the shag carpet and everything. I was sitting with my mom and watching Battlestar again on network television. Thank you the producers for this wonderful gift.

I was shocked to see that all the things I thought would happen to this retelling did not. It was darker and more sober but the over all themes were intact. It was absolutely gripping in the way that good drama is. I was on the edge of my seat the whole 3 hours. So was my mother which was interesting to see. I think we both felt transported back in time as we watched the new Apollo fight the Cyclon menace.

I have a theory about this show. I feel that this is not a reimagining but a continuation. That Starbuck is the grandaughter of the real Starbuck and Cassopeia. That Adama may in fact be Apollo.
In the show they mention that the cylons havent been seen from for 20 years. And in that time during the first Cylon war they evolved. So what if the 13 colonies are new planets colonized by the original members of galactica?? and that after that they grew as civilizations. The cylons left for 20 years and the last battlestar was no longer needed.

In the series the Battlestar galactica is a relic about to be decommsioned. Then when the cylons attack it is the only ship able to handle it because it is so old. There are scenes in which new vipers are disabled so they lauch the old 70's vipers. So I have a suspicion we arent watching a reimagining at all but a Battlestar galactica next generation. wether or not it is a sequel I will be tuning in next friday to see my childhood heros again.

I never thought that a childhood memory could be rekindled. Thank you Ron Moore for doing this.

Sinclairs barking

Tell me who's free speech rights would be violated then.Or when Nightline showed that program commerating our fallen. Whose free speech was violated?? Listen I dont care if they broadcat their NEwspeak. But I as a consumer have every right to boycott the products their advertisers have. I will tell you right now I want sincalr to die a horrible twitching death. There behaviour during the election was right out of Orwells playbook. Howard Stern was yanked off the air yesterday for having a intimate conversation with his girlfriend. He was fined 3 million dollarsfor his indiscretion. Ok so this thing happened big deal right?? I went to Metafilter and saw that Kid rock is playing the Inaguaration. WTF!!! Ok so A Redneck Alcoholic misogynist is tapped to play for Bush. Thats not that shocking really considering who he is playing for . But I started to think long and hard about the Hypocrisy of booting Stern yet elevating Rock.

I am not a fan of Howard Stern. I think in many cases he is disgusting. I do however support his ability to broadcast. Its a very dangerous place we goto when we start yanking people off the air when they air different views. I hate TBN with a passion but I sure as hell dont want them stopped. As you all know I have been deeply touched about the relief effort in Asia. The whole world has come together for these people. And I am proud what I am seeing in my country right now. No matter what politcal side your on. People are coming together in order to help out. I appluad all those on the right and the left for leaving political squabbles behind. Now is the time to show our humanity, our essential goodness. There are people over there that has lost everything. We need to be able to help them. And we need to stop taking our own lives for granted. For any day we can be snuffed just like the victims of Southeast asia.

As we start our new year we are in control of our own path. Will we walk a selfish road of greed and decadence? Or shall we walk the path of kindness and compassion. How will we make this year special? 2005 promised to be turbulent year. We are as the Chinesse said "living in interesting times. " But I believe that we can forge our own destiny by the simple choices we make. We should give something that is not of our self every day of our life. And we should be kinder to those different than us. We cant change the whole world. But we can change our little half. Life is to precious not to.

As you party tonight. take a small minute and think of all things you can accomplish in the next year. Think also about those who have left us and how we can stop this. Take destiny in your hands and shape it into the future. For we never know when the candle will blown out.

Horrific christmas earthquake

I am sure that everyone here has heard about the horrible tragedy that occured in Asia. A massive earthquake that was the equivalent of one million atom bombs rumbled beneath the ocean. This in turn caused some of the largest tidalwaves to hit asia. Thousands are dead and even more are without shelter tonight. A Italian scientist is saying that this catastrophe has even upset the earths rotation. This is a major deal compadres. I ask all of you to say a prayer, or send good energy to those stricken by this calamity. Maybe someone can organize a charity or food drive or something. I think it is in the interest in our humanity to help however we can.

There was breaking news that one of the missing of the hurricane was no other then Jet Li. He was on vacation with his family on the Maldive islands. These islands were devastated by the tidal waves. I have heard that Jet is alive but he is injured. He was hurt apparently saving his daughter. They are saying and now he has injured his foot, I dont know how badly though. I will try to keep everone posted on what news I get.

I just read that shrub is planning on trying to push his extremist judicial Nominees through. He has a list of 20 people who could not get confirmed due to democratic resistance. The shrub is going to try to force these people through again. I am hoping to the divine whatever that the Democrats will resist more strigently then last time. We know that this was going to happen. And I feel that this is the warning shot before the supreme court Nominees come out of whatever clan meeting they belong to. I am wondering that if we can stop these judical Nominees can we stop the supreme court choices that are coming?
What the fascists are saying is that these Nominees are the best suited for the job. Hmmm it seems to me that the only reason Bush chose these people is because they conform to his agenda. I bet there are plenty of liberal democrats that well suited to the job as well. Gee what a scary time it is. Please my democratic heros in the senate fight this like there is no tommrow. One of my great loves is Science fiction. And my favorite show is Babylon5. I have recently heard of some disturbing news regarding my favorite show. The powers that be are in the process of making a movie. I am all for this, in fact I would be first in line. but people in the know have seen casting notices for the main characters. Thats right folks they are attempting to recast all the actors for Babylon5.
This cannot happen, and if it does I will refuse to watch the abomination on screen Better for B5 to die once and for all then have it perverted. If any of you are b5 fans I urge you to write a letter to this address demanding the original cast be kept.

First I would like to apologize to my readers for the lack of content on this page. I usually try to write once a week. But holiday things got in the way. I appologize oh loyal readers, dont send me to the spice mines.

Well since that has been taken care of there are plenty of things to get through. Like the fact that the Ukraine is having another election. Also that Yuschenko is now believed to have been poisoned. Hmmm I think that will go in his favor when Ukrainans vote again dont you? I have also heard that the Russian army is preparing to move in. I dont know if this true or not but Russia certaintly is rattling the sabers. As you can guess my heart goes out to the Ukranian people. Its a pretty amazing thing they pulled off. It just goes to show that good things can happen to those with passion. I just hope and pray that Russia doesnt see this as open season.

Next on the agenda is our dear pal Rummy. A man so hated that Bush senior couldnt even stand him. Here is our great architect of Cough IRAQI FREEDOM Cough standing in front of the troops trying to explain why they have subpar equipment. As all of you know by now Rummy wasnt exactly eloquent. Why the hell wasnt Colin Powell secretary of defense??? I know its because that would have actually made sense!!!

I have a great idea. Lets get good old rummy put him in a Humvee and send him to Fallujah. I think that would make a great reality series. Every week Rummy gets closer to Fallujah and every week he loses a piece of his Humvee. By the end of season one it will just be Rummy begging in the streets for body armour, So he doesnt get his ass shot off. Michael Moore can produce and we can call it Rummys Great Adventure.

Ok enough of Rummy and his Ilk. Lets talk that Paragon of American virtue Walmart.
I dont like Walmart. I think Walmart is a sign of what is bad in America. And I fear that stores like this are the future.
I went into Walmart the other day with my family. The first thing I noticed was the cold and bleak architecture. It looked like I was stepping inside a prison. Once I got inside Das Walmart I wanted to prove a theory I Had. Namely that all of Walmarts stuff comes from sweatshops in china. SO I started looking at the labels on the products. 90% of all the products in Walhell were made in China. even american looking products that had our flag on them were produced in the east.
Now I dont care if we buy products from other countries. But this reliance on China gives me the wiggins. Hmm lets take a country who we know has made grave human rights abuses and make them our best friend. Now lets take countries that guarantee human rights and make them our enemies. Hmm interesting dont you think? You can always tell the true heart by the people he surronds himself with. in other word You know them by their friends. and It seems that we are surronding ourselves with some pretty lousy friends. But hey all is fair in business right??

Walmart is the most hypocritical store ever. They try to make you believe that they are truly patriotic. Then it stocks the shelves with cheap Chinese products. Wave that flag Walmart , Wave that flag. And let the Mom and pop stores go out of business. Say goodbye to the corner market, so long to the hardware store. Sayonara to the nice toy store. Its now all included in that evil entity known as Walmart. I hope Mr Wal burns in a very special hell for the misery he has brought to small business.
walmart is the only store that is proud to build on a indian burial site. Think about that for a minute.If thats not evil then what is??? One of these days the toys will start bleeding and tires will get thrown at customers by supernatural forces. Perhaps a christmas tree will eat someone. Dont shop at Walmart because it has great prices. those great prices come with a greater price. The price of 100's of small Mom and pop shows going out of business. So much for Americana. But then true Americana is dead like the Dodo. Only Americorp remains. Built on the bones of the small business man.

Its funny how the Fascists always say that they are for small business. Yet alot of their policies hinder the non millionare business man. I think this can be called hypocrisy. and I think this is the Republicans bread and butter....

Mediocrity and the American Spirit

About three weeks I got to see the Incredibles. It was a wonderful film about a family of superheros trying to hide their gifts. I began to think about How this relates to us as a people . How many time's in your life have you been told to just act normal? How many times have you been told not to rock the boat? America does not want Exceptional people. It wants a group of sheep that can serve as a workforce. The thing is that we as a people are starting to lag behind other western democracys. Why is this? Well some of it is fear of a world that is moving to fast. Some of it has to do with our Middle ages view of religion. But I think alot of it has to do with our obsession with mediocrity.

Our educational systems teach us to be machines. free thought is frowned upon and even punished. The truly gifted are placed into tiny boxes and are not allowed to grow. This continues into out adult years. We are shoved into small offices with boxlike walls. we are told to do the job and shut-up. If we do anything different then work in a office with boxlike walls. We are considered abby normal. Musicains, Artists, Filmakers and all other creative occupations included. You have to be part of the grey machine. if your not you are Macontent, Socialy divisive, a sinner, or any other insult you can think of.

We cant be exceptional in this society, We cant be better then the next guy. we have to be a cog in the machine. We have to be Joe normal with his six pack and his Nascar. We all have to dress alike, sound alike, Buy from Walmart, have same views, same beliefs, same intelligence, watch same stupid reality shows. Because We as a people cannot think of ourselves as different. And if we as a people cannot think that way then how are we as a country going operate.

America it is time to wake up. Your Anti-intellectual crusade has done nothing but dumb the masses. It has made them so stupid that we have elected the poster boy of Anti intellectualism. If we cannot be smart then we are going to be crushed in a global market. If we cannot proudly show our talents without hiding them. Then we are going to be steamrolled over by the rest of the world. We have very gifted people in this country. It is time to let them be gifted.

There is something going in The Ukraine. Thousands of protestors are demanding that they be heard. It seems that widespread fraud caused A man who is known to be a sympathizer to Vladimir Putin has won. I am now just getting into this story and from what I have heard deeply troubles me. I think there are far reaching repercussions to what is happening in that small country.

At this time thousands of orange clad supporters are taking to the streets. They have a fervor which can only be called revolotionary. They know that they were swindled and they want justice. If we were to find out the same thing has happened here would we do the same???

I have said before I dont know if our election was rigged or not. Its possible that we just plain lost. However the General accounting office is starting to look into matters. I dont know what they will find. But if they discover that we lost the election due to fraud. Would we have the courage to join our Ukranian brethren?? Would we take to the streets in mass protest. would all the democrats and moderates have the courage to risk scorn and or ridicule maybe even arrest to make our voices heard from the rooftops. Or are we too apathetic as a nation?

Honestly I dont know the question to these answers. I am just starting to hear of the thousands of complaints of voter irregularities. I advise caution on being fervent at this time. I think that if we began mass protests without all the evidence. We could greatly be discredidted as a party. However if there is proof that the same thing happened here. I havent kept up with political scene that much this week. Part of this is still the absolute rage I feel at the election. I have heard that there is a recount thats going to happen in ohio. I do not believe that this will change anything. However I think that if fraud is found conclusively then maybe this will take the wind out of the fascists sails.

How the hell did we get here, to a place where we have to worry about fraud in our elections. America is such a grand place where we have always had such strong convictions. The fairness of the electoral system should be beyond sacred. It is everything hold dear about our young democracy. I am of a mind that we need both liberals and conservatives to make this country work. But what happens when one side is taken hostage by religious ideology? When the stuff there peddling is close to treason?

I have nothing against real conservatives. I may not agree with their beliefs but I do believe they are doing what they think is best. Its these Neo con fascists with their good books and media control. I believe this is one of the greatest dangers to our United states. The US was created as a place where all men are created equal. Not just the white christians who believe there is a eternal hellpit for the unsaved.

Falluja Now???

Yesterday I saw an image they may haunt me me for the rest of my days. It was the picture of a marine in Falluja. This boy looked to be about 20 years old. And By all rights he should be in college, drinking beer and trying to pick up on girls. He should be not killing hundreds in a god forsaken war zone on the other side of the world. The worse thing about this picture were his eyes. I recognized that look, that haunted stare. It was the look of someone who had seen such horrors that he was numb to it. His eyes were the eyes of a 50 year old. Someone so sick with the world he didnt want to live anymore. Friends he was barely out of his teens and now he will be followed by this for the rest of his life. War does not just harm those killed in combat. It also harms the survivors and all that they touch. For the rest of his life this boy is going to wake up with nightmares in the middle of night. He will forever see the faces of the people he killed and wonder what their lives would have been. This is a criminal act but unfortunately war isnt illegal. It is said War is fought by rich white men who never leave their smoking parlours. They fight wars for access to Natural resources and bragging rights. And honestly I dont think these old white guys even think of their "soldiers" as people. just pawns in a unholy game of chess. They dont think about the many lives they destroy just the benefits that are reaped. This is who rules our world and specially the United States. There Just a bunch of rich old white guys who think they have a bigger penis. If a few thousand college kids are killed it doesnt matter to them. All that matters is wealth. Right now we are fighting a intense urban battle in Falluja. There are so many people who are at risk and may not come home. We have to think of the soldiers as people not soldiers, not marines, but our sons and daughters wives and husbands, brothers and sisters, cousins and friends.We tend to dehumanize our fighters by just calling them soldiers. I hear day in day out that our casualties are so small. That in world war II thousands died in a day. Folks every human life matters. I dont care if your american or iraqi. each death diminishes us as a whole. each candle that goes out reduces the light in the room. We have over 1000 casualties. 1000 lives that will never grow to fruition because of stupid old white men.

I hope eventually that we learn as a species and leave war to the history books. I hope things like nationalism and religious fundamentalism are abolished from the earth. I hope that greed and meglomania are curtailed by common sense. I hope we simply evolve. For war is never good, war is only pain........

I was reading the news today. and it seems that fascists spin on the kids not coming out and playing was false. They did come out, they came out in the millions. Yet even their vote couldnt help us. But my friends and patriots this is the solution to our problem.

In 2006 we shall have another election. By then all the 16 year olds will be old enough to vote. We need to get to them and the college kids. I read today that kids are becoming more liberal. If this is true then we can take back our country. We need to get them involved in the democratic process as early as possible.

How are we going to do this? We are going to do this with music.

We saw towards the end of the election a push by popular musicains to influence the vote. We saw that with eminems great video mosh in all its black hoodie glory. thousands of kids came to the polls dressed in their black hoodies. Basicaly we have to make democracy cool. we have to make dissent cool. We have to make the fascists very uncool.

How are we going to do this? Frankly I dont know but I am open to sugestions. I think it is the job of the artstic community to do this. All my Punk friends and Goth friends, all the Neo Metalers and garage bands. The hip hoppers and indie rockers. Most of these people are on our side and with talent and passion we can create our little movement. Make democracy cool, make fascism uncool.

Perhaps we should start laughing at the fascists. We know they are ridiculous but if we show others that they will believe. Its what the fascists did to our side in the 90's. We need to show the kids that they are dinosaurs and should be extinct. The past is uncool, the future is very cool.

Thats it my friends. its the youth we need to influence. Then we can retake our country.

On November 2nd 2004 we heard the death knell of the United states as our forefathers conceived it. We have spit in the faces of the earlier patriots by beginning the path to Theocracy. Those who fought and died to keep our independence have now had their memories desecrated by the fascists in power. How did we get here? is a question I hope to address in the coming months. But more importantly what do we do now????

My friends the british are coming and its time to light the lanterns in the church. We need to fight them. But we shall fight them with our words, We shall fight them with music, we shall fight them with poetry. We shall start a movement of Artistic dissidence. As it was in the 60's, it is time to protest and let our voices be known. This is not the end of liberalism in america. This is only the beginning. For at the end of this twilight struggle will be our redemption.

Do not fear the powers before you. Do not yield to complacency. And dont surrender the dream of Democracy. For this is the dream which inspired a movement. a dream that all men are created equal, That even dissent is sacred.

For now America is dead. But it will rise again if we keep the dream alive. And I ask all my fellow democrats to keep this fire inside untill the right time. Yesterday we were defeated but a true patriot does not surrender to defeat. A true patriot does not capitulate to the oppressors. A true patriots keeps the fire in his heart and spreads it to others. And as it did before the fire of democracy will become great. Let it burn my friends, let it burn.
